Ratana joined BDLINK as an Associate Consultant in 2006.
Ratana has strong education qualifications. She has a Master degree in International Business from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. She also has a bachelor degree in Economic Management from Lyon II, France. In addition, from the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) in Cambodia, Ratana has a Master degree in Economic Management and a bachelor degree in Economic Management with recognition from AIT.
Prior to joining BDLINK, Ratana was the Communication Assistant at the French Embassy. There, she gained practical experience in developing and organizing frameworks to collect, store and analyze information.
At BDLINK, Ratana has worked on a variety of projects for international donors, NGOs, government agencies, SMEs and other private sector businesses.
For the private sector, Ratana assisted an IT start-up company to develop its internal work rules and regulations and legal compliance. She also led a team of researchers that evaluated transportation demand of goods by air versus ship. She has also worked in collaboration with another consulting firm to research and analyse a new foreign investment real estate project.
Ratana conducted an assessment of government Technical Working Groups for the Council of Development for Cambodia (CDC), where she interviewed senior government officials, collated sensitive information and wrote reports.
Ratana worked on a UNDP project that looked at developing business models and creating employment opportunities for women in Kampong Speu Province. She also worked with the IFC/MPDF on business training programs for SMEs.
Ratana is currently managing a project on “Youth Employment and Social Dialogue”, which is a joint initiative of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Cambodian Federation of Employers & Business Associations). Working closely with employers, unions, universities, NGOs and other stakeholders, Ratana conducted a large survey of youth and employers on their views about youth employment and workplace skills. Ratana speaks Khmer, English, French and Thai. |
