Mr. HEM Tola, Business Analyst

Tola joined BDLINK as a Business Analyst in 2007.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration (specializing in Accounting) from Maharishi Vedic University, where he graduated top of his class.

While completing his degree, Tola did an internship in the finance and accounting department of BDLINK’s sister company, HR INC (which is Cambodia’s leading human resources company).

At BDLINK, Tola has worked on several projects involving a range of stakeholders.

He worked on a study on the Cambodian labour market for people with disabilities, which involved a large survey of employers. He was responsible for database management, market research and interviews.

In the SME sector, he worked on a handicraft project in collaboration with Artisans Association of Cambodia (AAC) and Traidcraft. The aim of the project was to understand the business needs of handicrafts SMEs and to assist in developing their operations to ensure long term sustainability.
                                      
From July to September 2007, Tola worked in collaboration with another consulting firm to research and analyse a new foreign investment real estate project. His tasks included developing a questionnaire for tenants and competitors, data entry and analysis.

Currently, Tola is working on the “Youth Employment and Social Dialogue” project, which is a joint initiative of the ILO and CAMFEBA. As well as helping to develop questionnaires for youth and employers, Tola met with unions, universities and training providers, NGOs and employers. As part of the data collection process, Tola traveled extensively to several Provinces and met with local education providers, youth associations and youth.

Tola speaks Khmer, English, Thai and basic Chinese.
